Themes Announced For National Stationery Week

The countdown to National Stationery Week starts has begun with the announcement of this year’s themes from the headline sponsors for the week, May 12 – 18.

With just over seven weeks to go until National Stationery Week (NSW), stationery lovers are in for a real treat this year with the headline sponsors – Maped Helix, Pentel, Staedtler, Snopake Brands, Zebra and Rhodia – all geared up to spread the love at both retail and consumer level about all things stationery.

There are different themes each day during the week, starting on Monday 12 May. The sponsors will have competitions on social media for the public, as well as plenty of ideas and prizes for independent stationery shops too.

Here’s how the week looks:

Monday: Maped Helix #LoveToCreate

Tuesday: Pentel #PassionForPens

Wednesday: Staedtler #ForEveryHand

Thursday: Snopake Brands #BuyItForLife

Friday: Zebra #ItFeelsGood

Saturday: Rhodia #PenThePage

Snopake Brands is a new headline sponsor this year and director Simon Fawke says: “Snopake is delighted to return to sponsoring National Stationery Week. The event has grown significantly in recent years and is helping raise awareness of all brands, large and small, from within our industry.

“This year, Snopake’s chosen day is Thursday 15 May and we will feature the tag #BuyItForLife prominently on all marketing activities in the run-up to and during that day. We have a long-established commitment to quality, supported by our 5-year guarantee on the majority of our filing products, serving to reassure our customers we are not offering one-time use products. Snopake supports the circular economy and by ensuring all our polypropylene files can be recycled, we are doing our best to minimise plastic waste, and encouraging consumers to move away from low cost, low value, single use products.”

Sarah Laker, owner of the Stationery Supplies shops in Marple and Wilmslow and National Stationery Week co-ordinator hopes that even more people will get involved this year and follow National Stationery Week on Facebook, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn, and share posts and encourage their own followers to get involved in the competitions and countdown.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to see such an incredible lineup of sponsors for National Stationery Week 2025. It’s proof—if ever we needed it—that the love of stationery is alive, well, and still capable of making grown adults swoon over a really good pen. With our brilliant sponsors on board and our hashtags at the ready, we’re set for a week of celebrating everything from the perfect notebook to the mighty power of putting pen to paper. Let’s make it a week to remember!”

National Stationery Week runs over Monday to Sunday, 12-18 May, this year, and encompasses the London Stationery Show on the Tuesday and Wednesday at the Business Design Centre in Islington. Registration is now open.
