Success For London Autumn Pen Show

There were more than 200 tables of pens, stationery, accessories, inks, notebooks and much more at the London Autumn Pen Show on Sunday 13 October.

The London Autumn Pen Show is the largest of the six UK Pen Shows, and is a beacon for fountain pen enthusiasts, collectors and general stationery lovers.

Co-owner of the UK Pen Shows, Michael Owen (who is also sales director of Pen Paper Gift) says: “The visitor numbers exceeded 1000 spread throughout the day and it was busy. The 2025 edition of the Autumn Pen Show will now be a two day event on 11 and 12 October. Before then, we have the London Spring Show to look forward to, on 2 March. This show is very similar in size to the autumn show with most vendors re-booking, and we will hopefully increase visitors again.

“We are trying to encourage brands and retailers to get involved as vendors and engage with a very willing consumer group that genuinely love the product in the room. It is a very positive experience to be involved in the show with a willing friendly audience.”

Kim Mann, director of Mann Inc, UK distributors of Retro 51, Endless Stationery and Pularys was at the show and said it was the biggest show she’d seen. “It was full of familiar faces and lots of first time venders. We enjoyed meeting new customers that were visiting for the first time and catching up with the many customers that visit the show. We took a large range of Retro 51 , Endless Stationery and Pularys with a few little extras of other brands. We love being able to offer some fantastic deals at the show and showcasing our products. It’s great for customers to be able to come along to sample products and have a closer look at what we have.”

Sarah Laker, owner of Stationery Supplies had a table with a range of product from her shop , including the on-trend Legami erasable pens. “For a fountain pen show we sold a surprising number of Legami erasable pens,” she said. “The fountain pen enthusiasts are a total delight, so knowledgeable and interesting to talk to. I love how many conversations we had about the right paper for fountain pens, with LEUCHTTURM1917 and Dingbats Notebooks coming out as their longstanding favourites. The Art File notebooks also a big show hit. We had the Kaweco DIY pen press on our stand and we sold out.”

Studio Pens’ Ian Jeffery was a visitor at the show and had a great day out. “For me it is chance to catch up with industry friends. I was grateful to chat with Alistair Adams and Chris Leonard Morgan. Meeting up with customers is always a buzz. Huge congratulations to Michael, John and Vince for filling the centre with so many suppliers.”
