Launched on 12 March 2024, StationeryNews.net (formerly known as StationeryMatters.news) is the only digital news platform in the UK dedicated to the stationery sector. Alongside the new website, the StationeryNews team will be sending out a twice-weekly e-newsletter, featuring hot-off-the-press news, interviews, commentary, trend analysis and much more – all delivered directly to over 15,000 inboxes.
StationeryNews.net is the latest digital news platform from Max Publishing; the new owners of London Stationery Show. Rob Willis, coo of Max Publishing said: “With our many years of experience in B2B media in affiliated sectors (notably greeting cards, gifts and licensing) when we were lucky enough to have the opportunity to acquire London Stationery Show, we recognised that a key part of the jigsaw would be to have regular dialogue with the stationery community through a regular dedicated e-newsletter as well as a physical publication.”
StationeryNews.net will be written and curated by Michelle Urquhart, an experienced business journalist who has spent many years in markets including greeting cards, brand and character licensing, housewares, kids products and more.
In tandem with StationeryNews.net’s regular doses of news and views, launching prior to the London Stationery Show will be a revamped Stationery Matters magazine. This editorially-driven, design-led A4 publication will include industry developments, retailer insights, product features, topical discussion articles as well as coverage about the London Stationery Show to whet visitors and would-be visitors’ appetites of the treats in store.
“Every market has its own nuances, but with us at Max Publishing being so entrenched in affiliated retail sectors through our magazines, awards and PG Live, notably greeting cards, gifts and licensing, this wonderful synergetic opportunity to extend into the wider stationery field was too good to miss. We are already overflowing with ideas and can’t wait to get deeply involved in this fascinating and fast-moving retail sector,” said Jakki Brown, co-founder of Max Publishing.
Jakki continues: “But we will need your involvement and input to help us to create engaging content and news about this ever-evolving sector. So, if you have new company developments, consumer or retail marketing activations, personnel news or want to vent your spleen about industry issues, please get in touch with Michelle by emailing her on michelleu@max-publishing.co.uk.”
