Progressive Greetings Live Is Open!

Ready, steady, go! The doors at PG Live 2024 are open and it’s time for all the buyers to check out all the lovely newness and creativity at this year’s big event.

The doors opened at 9.30am this morning (Tuesday 4 June) at the Business Design Centre for the 16th outing of the UK’s only specialist greeting card trade show where everyone who’s anyone in the industry is here.

And there was an order placed even before the traditional pre-doors opening shot on the stairs at the show where the team from organiser Max Publishing, exhibitors, and overseas distributors and retailers cut the ribbon to declare this year’s greetings extravaganza open, plus the iconic PG Live card dresses.

Indie retailer Caroline Ranwell was in the building pronto to see her friends at Rush Design (stand 121) and immediately placed an order for the brand-new Sassy range from founder Lorraine Bradley.

“It’s just so gorgeous, I couldn’t wait!” laughed the owner of Hugs & Kisses in Tettenhall, and Lorraine added: “Hopefully we’ll keep going like this for the whole show.”

Upstairs on Rosie Made A Thing (stand 500), DzoDzo owners Peter and Jelena Whiteman kept up the tradition of spending the first Golden Ticket within five minutes of the show opening, handing it over in return for an order of the new Tipp Topp range, Stroke Me and the latest Gin & Frolics designs for their Woodbridge indie store – last year they hit Dandelion Stationery first.

If you still haven’t got your ticket for PG Live, which runs over today and tomorrow, 4-5 June, it’s easy to register to attend for free just by clicking here, then you’ll be all set to join the wonderful gathering of the global greeting card community.

The full list of PG Live exhibitors can be found here, and everyone who visits the show will receive the special keepsake cloth tote bags sporting incredible artwork from sponsors Hallmark, plus there’s the delicious free lunch for everyone on both days in the Scribbler Studios-sponsored lunchroom, plus complimentary tea and coffee available from Windles’ roving trollies, as well as the fabulous first-night party at the end of today’s opening day where everyone is very welcome to pop in to enjoy the drinks party courtesy of Loxleys, along with the great company.
