The finalists of the Stationery Matters Awards are celebrating their nominations, with the winners announced Tuesday 14 May at London Stationery Show.
The finalists in the Stationery Awards 2024 were revealed last week, with the impressive line-up featuring products from 40 different brands, from the well-established to newbies on the scene.
Mann Inc, distributors of Retro 51 and Endless Stationery products are celebrating nominations in four categories, with director Kim Mann saying: “It’s an honour to be nominated alongside other fantastic products and we can’t wait for results on Tuesday. We are very much looking forward to the show, it’s a big event on the Mann Inc calendar as we love to catch up with everyone in the stationery world and celebrate new products.”
Andhand won the award for the Writing Instrument of the Year last year and this year is nominated for its new Aspect range. “For us as a small independent brand it’s really great not only to get the recognition, but also to be up against very established household names for this award,” says co-founder, Simon Donald.
Snopake is up for the Filing and Storage Product of the Year Award with its GRS-certified, 100% recycled and 100% recyclable ReBorn ringbinders, recognition of the company’s ongoing journey to a sustainable future. Dinisha Solanki, marketing executive said the company “is absolutely thrilled to have been chosen as a finalist in the awards this year.”
The news of making the finals was timely for Huunuu, with this week being Dying Matters Awareness Week, a national campaign aimed at making it easier for everyone to talk about dying. Its guided journals Before I Die and Big Conversations are up for an award in the Social Stationery category and co-founder Clare Turner says: “We are absolutely thrilled to be listed as a finalist with our guided journals Before I die and Big Conversations both of which make some of the hardest conversations or sharing of information much easier and more enjoyable is absolutely fantastic. It’s a really beautiful and unique book.”
Kaweco is up for three different awards, with distributor Studio Pens’ marketing and sales assistant, Lizzie Atkins commenting: “Being a finalist at the 2024 Stationery Awards is a great achievement, but to be a finalist in three different categories is truly amazing. We are incredibly grateful for all of the ongoing support from our lovely customers who share our passion and love for Kaweco.”
Up for two awards, including the Icon Award for its Silvine original memo notebook, Gemma Bassett, brand development manager of Sinclairs said: “We are absolutely thrilled and delighted to have two products as finalists. It means such a lot to us that our products are being recognised by the industry in their respective categories.”
And with five nominations under its belt, Sarah Downey, co-founder of Coffeenotes was thrilled at the news. “As a small, independent brand we are both excited and proud to be recognised for creating genuinely sustainable luxury stationery, made in Britain from recycled coffee cups.”
All finalist products will be showcased in a dedicated feature area at London Stationery Show for the duration while the winners will be revealed at the Awards Ceremony which will take place on first evening of London Stationery Show, Tuesday 14 May, that is sponsored by The Stationers’ Company and supported by the Business Design Centre.
