For the 100th anniversary of the iconic Meisterstück, Montblanc takes over Rodeo Drive in LA with a pop up chalet, featuring a cinematic experience, an interactive desk, bespoke collections and a series of workshops.
Open to the public until 31 July, the Montblanc Chalet pop up on Rodeo Drive invites visitors to immerse in the 100th anniversary celebrations of the Meisterstück with a cinematic experience from filmmaker and screenwriter Wes Anderson with a trip to snow-capped alpine peaks and the Montblanc Observatory High-Mountain Library where it all began.
Writing is a central theme throughout the pop up with an interactive area where customers can play with various ink colours and nib widths and shapes. At the Montblanc desk designed by artistic director Marco Tomasetta, guests can write postcards to be sent to loved ones anywhere.
Customers can also customise their writing instruments with the bespoke nib configurator available at the Chalet. Meisterstück fountain pens can be further tailor-made to meet individual needs and tastes.
The Montblanc Chalet is also has a weekly schedule of activities planned for those who want to get creative, develop their skills or try their hand at something new. From writing workshops, journalling classes, speaker series and cocktail making classes, there is something for everyone to discover and enjoy.
“This pop-up transports customers far from the sunny streets of LA to snowy alpine peaks, encouraging them to physically experience a piece of this extraordinary universe as if they were characters in their own Montblanc story,” said Sylvain Costof, president Montblanc Americas.
