Stationery giant Maped Helix has launched an ideal alternative to a traditional tablet for youngsters this Christmas.
Lightweight and portable, the Maped Creativ Magic Tablet is an erasable LCD board which enables children to get creative and have fun.
There’s also no need for parents to worry about their children accessing inappropriate content or racking up enormous bills on in-app purchases, when using this innovative device.
Maped Helix marketing manager, Lianne Fletcher, commented: “Tablets are always popular Christmas gifts, but there are downsides. Internet safety is vital so you need to take time to set up the correct protocols on a traditional device. Then there’s the cost. Aside from the initial outlay, you’ve no doubt read the horror stories in the press of parents receiving bills of hundreds of pounds as children unwittingly spend on in-app purchases.”
“If your preschooler is coveting their own device this year, our Magic Tablet is the perfect present. As well as enabling children to draw and play games, they can also use the tablet to practice basic maths and writing skills. Plus, it doesn’t need charging and is mess-free, so it’s perfect for car or train journeys.”
Children use the stylus pen to draw on the screen and then touch the magic wand button to erase their work. Alternatively, they can lock the screen to keep their creation.
The screen size is 12.2 x 17.3 cm and it is powered by one CR2016 battery (included). It is available for sale on Amazon for £15.95 (price correct at time of writing) and in selected retailers.
