ExaClair releases Cork stationery range

ExaClair, the UK supplier of Clairefontaine, has launched a new range of vegan-friendly cork pencil cases, to answer the demand of the increasingly-prevalent environmentally-friendly stationery buyer.

The pencil cases are available in three sizes and with three designs, from plain cork to cork with green, naturally-inspired motifs.

Cork acts as an excellent alternative to leather; it is robust and long-lasting; does not use any animal products in its manufacturing processes; and not only does it not require the cutting down of trees, but also when cork bark is removed from its tree it actually absorbs three times more CO2.

Clement Rouillard, Marketing Manager at ExaClair, says it’s important for manufacturers to be forward thinking with product design: “The environment and veganism have become increasingly important and will continue to be so. It’s therefore vital that manufacturers invest in the research and development that will help to ensure that we make best use of our planet’s resources.”
