ExaClair announces new marketing manager

ExaClair, the UK supplier of Clairefontaine, Exacompta and Rhodia, has promoted Lawrence Savage from within the marketing team to marketing manager after two years at the company.

Lawrence will take over from Clement Rouillard, who moves into the newly created position of UK category manager.

Reporting directly to managing director Mark Daisley, Lawrence moves into his new position at a challenging time. The priority is to use marketing channels to support, develop and maximise ability to assist customers’ stock and supply chains.

Lawrence says despite the turbulent period, he is optimistic about the direction the company is heading in, acknowledging that the organisation has a strong portfolio of internationally respected brands:

“We are celebrating a couple of important brand milestones, including the first centenary of the G. Lalo premium writing brand, and 350 successful years of Herbin, known for its iconic inks and calligraphy sets.

“During this period there has also been a rise in online sales for our Décopatch and Clarefontaine craft and fine art brands and we are fortunate that our portfolio includes go-to brands such as these.”

Mark Daisley, managing director of ExaClair, says with a wealth of marketing experience across the manufacturing sector, as well as within the stationery industry, Lawrence is well placed to lead ExaClair’s marketing team:

“There is exceptional opportunity for growth within the office product, fine art and handicraft markets, and with Clement concentrating on category management and Lawrence on marketing, we are in a good position to overcome the challenges ahead.”

Outside of work, Lawrence is a keen rugby enthusiast having played union for more than 26 years. In 2013, he helped set a new world record for the longest ever game of rugby at 24 hours, 51 minutes, raising in excess of £66,000. He also has a passion for travelling, music and photography.
