Pens For Kids UK has started delivering some of the donations it received from exhibitors at London Stationery Show to local charities.
Pens For Kids UK is a not-for-profit, family-run charity distributing donated pens, pencils and colouring pencils to underdeveloped countries across the globe, as well as local UK projects.
The charity had a drop-off point at London Stationery Show, where approximately 1000 pens and pencils were donated from the show, with thousands more promised.
“We were completely blown away by the generosity of the all the exhibitors and visitors at London Stationery Show,” said Chris Sissons, co-ordinator of Pens For Kids UK. “We have immediate plans to donate to schools which are reopening in Ukraine, orphanages in Malawi and displaced Afghan families who now live in the UK.”
Chris and the team have already started distributing filled pencil cases, notebooks and paints donated by exhibitors to Coram’s Fields charity in London for children and young people who they support. The stationery will go to those families who attend arts and crafts drop-in sessions.
