New Amazon Business Restock services automatically replenish items businesses use the most.
Amazon Business is introducing Amazon Business Restock, bringing business buyers two new replenishment services – managed inventory and vending – to take the hassle out of restocking their worksites. Business technicians visit customer sites, deliver and order products based only on what you need, and restock items.
With the managed inventory service, Amazon Business technicians restock one or more stockrooms or similar areas within a worksite and can automatically reorder items. This is available in select US cities and continuing to expand.
With the ending service, Amazon Business Restock vending machines are installed at the workplace. Account administrators can set product quantity, user and spend limits, and employees can either enter a code or scan an ID to access authorised items. The Amazon Business team and account administrators receive an alert when an item is running low, so an order can be automatically placed to avoid stockouts. Vending is slated to roll out in early 2025.
Products are delivered and restocked in one appointment, and the continuous monitoring of inventory levels at the site and vending machine levels can give business leaders greater visibility into usage and spend data.
“With Amazon Business Restock, we are raising the bar for what customers should expect from their suppliers. By using automated ordering capabilities and inventory reporting, we restock customers’ worksites with the supplies they need, backed by Amazon’s vast selection. As we invent and simplify for customers, I am so excited for Restock to become a core pillar of their smart business buying strategy,” said Cody Tolve, Amazon business head of services.
