Success For Stationery Store Day

Indie shops around the UK (and the world!) celebrated Stationery Store Day on Saturday 3 August.

Set up in 2022 by Kristina Burkey, owner of Calliope in Natick, Massachusetts in the US, Stationery Store Day was set up to celebrate independently-owned stationery shops. There are now shops in 14 countries around the world participating, including 12 in the UK.

In Eastbourne, East Sussex, All Things Analogue took part again this year, with a day of  creative activities and limited edition Stationery Store Day goodies. Owner, Abel Dos Santos wrote on Instagram after the day: “Thank you so much to everyone who made a visit down to the shop or visited us online today to celebrate Stationery Store Day with us! It’s always such a treat to chat with fellow stationery lovers.”

Sarah Holmes, owner of Pencil Me In in Elgin, Scotland, went all out this year and released a special Pencil Me In branded stationery pack, with a pen, pencils, ruler and eraser. “We had a very, very busy day on Saturday instore and plenty or orders online over the weekend too,” said Sarah. “I really enjoy Stationery Store Day and think it’s a great initiative.”

This was the second year that Hunter Paper Co in Belfast took part with the store giving away a free tote bag with every purchase in-store or online over £30.
