StationeryNews.net caught up with Brainstorm, UK distributor for Eugy, following its win of the Arts & Crafts Product of the Year at this year’s Stationery Awards. Read on to find out what they loved about London Stationery Show 2024 and what we can expect to see from them in 2025.
The Stationery Awards took place at London Stationery Show. Overall, how was the show for you?
This was our first Stationery Show we were pleased with how the show went for us and it helped us to tap into new retail channels for our key arts and crafts ranges.
What was your highlight from the show?
Winning Arts & Crafts Product of the Year for Eugy. We are so passionate about the brand that it was fantastic to have it recognised in such esteemed awards.
How did it feel to win at the Stationery Awards?
We were delighted! We are so passionate about Eugy and we know that whenever a retailer sees the product they love it too. This award allows us to reach more buyers and raise brand awareness even further.
What do you think set your product apart from the rest of the finalists?
The story behind Eugy is extremely inspiring as the product was inspired by the creator’s mission to invent a product that was sustainable and gave back to environmental causes. Its eco-friendly credentials coupled with the sheer breadth of the range that is always expanding means that Eugy will be around for many years to come.
What made you enter the Stationery Awards?
We were exhibiting at the Stationery Show and showcasing the full Eugy range so to enter the awards was a no-brainer for us.
Can you give us an overview of your top three products from the show?
Well we took three ranges to the show including of course our award winning Eugy. Create N Colour and Water Art were also really well received by visitors to the stand as we were able to demonstrate their USPs. We recently went to an influencer event with the same three ranges and the response from children to all the products was way beyond our expectations too so we are looking forward to seeing them in stores.
What is one piece of advice you’d give to stationers planning on entering the Stationery Awards in the future?
There’s so many hands on products at the show as you would expect from such creative ranges. Be sure to enter the right category and create compelling content when submitting the lines for consideration.
What is your goal for the year ahead?
We have lots more new lines to add to the Eugy range as we head towards the crucial Q4. We will also be working to drive awareness of our two new arts and crafts lines that work well for stationery retailers. Water Art and Create N Colour are brand new and it’s a really exciting time for us in this category.
Where can people find your products?
Eugy is available really widely across the UK already with one of the biggest retailers being Hobbycraft. It is becoming instantly recognisable with kids everywhere from independents and garden centres to museums and majors stocking the range.
