Last week Legami Milano opened its 60th store in Italy, and two days later, opened its 61st.
Legami Milano continues to expand in Italy with the number of single-brand boutiques in Italy now reaching 61, which is 11 new boutiques since its 50th in September last year.
The 60th boutique opened in the Grandemilia Shopping Centre in Modena and the 61st a couple of days later in the Rescaldina Shopping Centre in Rescaldina, on the outskirts of Milan.
Legami is going through phenomenal growth as a brand in the UK, with the name on the lips of nearly every retailer at London Stationery Show last week. Theo Paphitis told the audience at his keynote talk that it is one of his favourite brands at the moment: “Legami is an amazing fashion-led brand. It really is something different and new.”
David Worsfold, owner of Farrants in Cobham held up a bunch of Legami erasable pens during the indie retail panel on the Wednesday at the show as his favourite product saying: “They really have come out of left field, customers can’t get enough of them.”
The demand for Legami has exceeded all expectations, with extraordinary global growth. Many items are out of stock, due to huge demand and longer sea shipments.
Hayley White, marketing manager for Stone Marketing, the UK distributor for Legami believes it is a combination of “the innovative erasable ink, affordable price, and irresistible collectability” that sets the pens apart. “Legami create quality products, always different, colourful, positive, and fun, perfect for everyone and every mood. We are delighted that the newest designs—panda, bee and hippo—were recognised as the Novelty Stationery Product of the Year at the Stationery Awards.”
