King Renews Royal Warrant For Parker Pen Company

It is fitting that as London Stationery Show is underway, that King Charles has renewed the Royal Warrant for the Parker Pen Company.

The Parker Pen Company is one of 145 companies to receive a Royal Warrant of Appointment on 12 May 2024. The Times reports that “no one understands the importance of a reliable pen more than the King” after his well-documented troubles signing his name with a leaky fountain pen during a signing ceremony in Northern Ireland in September 2022. The brand of the offended fountain pen was never revealed.

Parker was awarded a Royal Warrant by the late Queen Elizabeth II in 1962, followed by Charles, in 1990 when he was Prince of Wales.

Granted for up to five years, the warrants recognise the ongoing supply of goods or services to the Royal Household, and/or senior members of the Royal Family, and cover a wide variety of sectors including agriculture, building and maintenance, clothing, conservation, food and drink, household goods, office supplies, transport and storage.
