7 Top Tips For Visiting London Stationery Show

With London Stationery Show just around the corner (14 -15 May) here are our top tips to make sure you make the most of your day if you’re visiting.

There’s going to be plenty to see and do at London Stationery Show next week, with not only all the exhibitors to see, but also an extensive talks and workshops programme, the boutique collection of design-led brands, product showcase of Stationery Matters Awards finalists and of course, don’t forget to grab a cuppa and bite to eat.

Show manager, Chantelle White shares her top tips for making the most of your day:

Plan your journey. The Business Design Centre is easy to reach by London Underground. The nearest station is Angel on the Northern line, which is a 5 minute walk away. If you’re driving, there is parking available underneath the Hilton Islington Hotel, which is adjacent to the venue. You can pre-book a space.

Get there early if you can. The show opens at 9.30 both Tuesday and Wednesday, so if you can, get there at opening time before it gets too busy.

Familiarise yourself with the floorplan. There’s a floorplan online, as well as in the show guide (pick your copy up when you arrive). The Business Design Centre is a lovely venue and not too big, so it easy to get around.

DAY ONE - TUESDAY 14 MAY (with descriptors)

Get to Theo Paphitis’ talk early. The Ryman ceo will be speaking at 12.30 on Tuesday at the workshops and talks theatre (at the back of the Mezzanine floor) and it is bound to be popular, so make sure you get there early to get a good spot.

Go to a workshop. As well as the programme of talks, there are also opportunities to get creative with workshops on journalling, clay modelling, hand lettering and water colours.

DAY TWO - WEDNESDAY 15 MAY (with descriptors)

Don’t miss the boutique collection. Just by the main entrance on the ground floor is the boutique collection, an intimate area of the show that showcases original products from design-led, independent brands.

Make sure you refuel. The Networking Café on the ground floor is the perfect place to grab a coffee and catch up with industry peers. For something more substantial, go to Jack’s Café upstairs.
