Clairefontaine launches three new watercolour pads

ExaClair Limited, the UK subsidiary of the Exacompta-Clairefontaine group, has added three new pads to its Initiation to watercolour range.

Designed with the intermediate level artist in mind, each pad features 15 sheets of 300gsm cold pressed paper, which incorporate 2 sheets of 6 different designs with pre-drawn illustrations, plus 3 blank sheets. They include watercolour drawings on the back to act as a guide, though artists can choose the colours according to their preferences and to make the work their own.

The pads focus on three different themes: animals, botanicals, and Parisian urban scenes, which are available in 30x40cm, 24x30cm, and 15x10cm sizes respectively.

Lawrence Savage, Marketing Manager at ExaClair, says the pads provide the flexibility for artists to trial with colour, whilst enhancing their skills: “Whether you’re looking for guidance and inspiration, or you want to experiment with your own designs, the new watercolour pads will provide the required creative opportunity.”

“The pads have been designed to cater to different interests,” he continues, “and they also work to make them a great collectible range.”
